The Great Wall consists of a very long series of walls located in today’s China. It was declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO in 1987 and included in 2007 among the seven wonders of the modern world.
Built starting from 215 BC. approximately at the behest of the emperor Qin Shi Huang, the same to whom we owe the so-called Terracotta Army of Xi’an, its length was considered, until recently, to be 6,350 kilometers with varying heights.
The Great Wall would be 8 850 km long.
